Job Summary
Under the Supervision of the Director of Special Education, this position will assist in implementing the department’s operations and administration. Directly supervises and evaluates special education and related services staff as assigned. Employees in this classification receive limited and general supervision. Primary contact for agencies cooperatively serving special education students and their families (i.e. Headstart, Northbay Regional Center). Coordinates para-educator staffing with Personnel. Coordinates the staff development activities for special education staff. Supports District compliance monitoring and dispute resolution processes.
Experience and Education
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in education, including at least two years in public school administration or special education administration.
Experience in supervising and evaluating special education staff desired.
Education: California Administrative Credential.
Special Education credential. M.A. or M.S.
Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
Employment Type
