Job Summary
The job of Administrative Secretary is done for the purpose/s of coordinating complex, extensive, and technical secretarial and office management functions to maintain the day-to-day operations of a school office; assisting in the coordination of substitutes for absent teachers; monitoring of office staff work; overseeing the maintenance of records relative to registration and/or transfer of students, grade reporting, and other secretarial services; preparing accurate and timely information; supervising student assistants or subordinate personnel; and serving as the first point of contact in the front office. This job reports to Principal or Administrative Designee.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma
Typing Test- passing score of 40wpm
CPR/First Aid Certificate
Mandated Reporter Training
Criminal Background Clearance
TB Clearance
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Equivalency:
Previous college experience and/or associate's degree preferred Previous secretarial or clerical experience preferred.
Experience
Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
Salary Information
$24.90-$31.75 an hour
Hours/Days
196 days a year, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
