Job Summary
To schedule, direct and supervise the operations of the District's school bus system, to plan organize and direct the vehicle maintenance program. Provide leadership to ensure the efficient implementation of policies as required by the governing board and in accordance with applicable State regulations. Employees in this classification are responsible to and receive direct supervision from the Chief Facilities, Maintenance and Operations Officer within a framework of standard policies and procedures. Employees in this classification supervise personnel.
8 hours per day, 5 days per week. 12 months
This is a classified management position.

Requirements / Qualifications
Requires Knowledge of: California State Motor Vehicle Code, State Education Code, and District policies relative to the operation of vehicles in transporting students.
Requires ability to:
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Maintain records and prepare reports
Make cost estimates
Schedule, supervise, and direct the work of others
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties
Requires possession of:
Valid and appropriate California State Class B driver's license with P and S endorsements
Appropriate California School Bus Driver's Certificate
California School Bus Driver Instructor Certificate
First Aid Certificate
