Associate Superintendent of Educational Services: Vacaville Unified School District
Are you a visionary leader dedicated to closing the achievement gap and driving academic excellence? The Vacaville Unified School District is seeking an Associate Superintendent of Educational Services to spearhead the development and evaluation of our district-wide curriculum and instructional practices.
In this senior management role, you will serve as a key advisor to the Superintendent, directly influencing the educational trajectory of our students. You will oversee all early learning, elementary and secondary programs, including:
Instructional Leadership: Coordinating improvement programs that lead to consistent gains in academic achievement from Preschool to Adult.
Strategic Planning: Leading the development and implementation of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) in collaboration with the Educational Services Team.
Student Support: Supporting Special Education support services, English Learner support services, and Career Technical Education (CTE) programs.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with a proven track record of improving academic performance.
Experience: At least five years of responsible administrative experience in instructional and learning support services.
Education: A Master’s degree (or higher) in educational administration or curriculum design.
Certification: A valid California credential authorizing service as a district-level administrator.
Skills: Exceptional communication, a collaborative spirit for building community relationships, and the ability to manage complex budgets and compliance issues.

Experience and Education
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be:
Demonstrated school-level and/or district-wide leadership in Improved Academic Performance for students and Program Improvement.
Five years of experience in a responsible administrative position performing instructional services and learning support services and related functions
Equivalent to the completion of a Master of Arts or higher degree in educational administration, curriculum development and design, or closely related fields
