Job Summary
The job of Special Education Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for the coordinating and monitoring of special education processes and systems, including student database, Medi-Cal program billing and monitoring, and the hiring and placement of paraprofessional assistants; working with principals and special education staffs to monitor the flow of communication, correspondence and information related to the special education processes and procedures regarding the implementation of the IEP provision and special education compliance; and coordinating and/or training assigned staff. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: This position is under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Options and supports the Special Education Coordinators. This job reports to Special Education Coordinator
Requirements / Qualifications
